Marble plaster is a stunning alternative to traditional tiled or painted surfaces with a hard wearing high gloss finish.

One type of plaster is Marmorino Veneziano. Based on calcium oxide, it is used for interior and exterior wall decorations. Marmorino is made from crushed marble and lime putty, which can also be tinted to give a wide range of colours.

Another product is Marmorino Classic, a beautiful polished plaster. Marmarino Carrara has a grainy look to give it more of a stone effect when polished. For more information, visit About Marble Plastering to learn about the history of this product and download a colour chart.

This kind of plastering was developed throughout the 14th-16th centuries by a young Venetian architect called Andrea Palladio and dates back to Roman times. Venetian plaster is a hard wearing, high gloss surface and is characterised by its attractive marble grain.
